Business Pro: Recommended Plugins
This plugin generates contact information for your business. It also implements schema microdata which tells search engines about your business. This is great for SEO. The contact information can be displayed with either a widget (as seen in the demo footer) or a shortcode.
You can update your business details from the admin under the Business Profile menu item on the left menu. Please note that a logo is required, but will not be displayed on the front end of the site. This ensures there are no errors when search engines read the schema microdata.
More information and setup instructions can be found here
Display Posts Shortcode
The Display Posts Shortcode plugin is used in the theme demo to display Portfolio Items in the Front Page 5 widget area. Below is the shortcode used in the Custom HTML Widget in the Front Page 5 widget area of the theme demo:
[display-posts post_type="portfolio" image_size="portfolio" posts_per_page="6" columns="3"]
Here is a link to the full list of available shortcode parameters https://github.com/billerickson/display-posts-shortcode/wiki
Business Pro also comes bundled with the Display Posts Shortcode Column Extension which allows you to display posts in 2-6 columns. Simply change the 'columns' parameter to the number of columns you would like. Default is 3. It is also worth noting that the theme's CSS changes the columns into 2 columns on small screens and 1 column on extra small screens.
Genesis Connect for WooCommerce
This plugin is only recommended if using WooCommerce. After installing and activating WooCommerce, a notice will be shown in the admin with instructions to install and activate this plugin. To enable the portfolio filter functionality simply assign a category to a portfolio item. Any categories will then be displayed on the portfolio page which will act as filters for the portfolio items. To change the title of the portfolio page, navigate to Portfolio > Archive Settings and update the archive headline. From here you can also add an archive description.
